Yesterday I had to take a Nduthi ride from Thika Road to town harakati za kazi, and the entire time, I was praying and praying we don't crash coz its so easy to die. This is so sad.
It is actually a crime under Kenyan law for public officers to give false/misleading information. We have been told a bunch of open lies about the fuel situation with Ruto himself, as recently as 30th March, telling us his “strategic interventions”had “mitigated price increases” only to hit us with a 40 shilling increase two weeks later. Let me not even mention that “expert” or his string of lies. We are placing the pain at the pump squarely on Ruto.
WHY YOUR CV SHOULD FOCUS ON ACHIEVEMENTS RATHER THAN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
It is generally better to make your CV focus on achievements rather than just listing roles and responsibilities.
Why Focus on Achievements:
1. Demonstrates Impact: Achievements show the tangible results of your work, highlighting the value you brought to your previous roles. This makes a stronger impression on employers compared to a simple list of duties.
2. Differentiates You: Many candidates may have similar roles and responsibilities, but your achievements set you apart by showcasing what you specifically accomplished in those roles.
3. Quantifiable Success: Providing metrics and specific examples of your successes (e.g., increased sales by 20%, reduced costs by 15%, etc.) gives employers a clear idea of your capabilities and the potential impact you could have in their organization.
Don't just list the things you do or have done in your CV, rather, state the things you have achieved and still achieving.
Bear in mind that every employers want to hire an achiever, not just an employee.
