Today, I had the honor of meeting His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, I conveyed H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveniโs personal message of condolence to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of his father, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Amir and former Emir of the State of Qatar.
The late Father Amir will be remembered as the visionary leader who transformed Qatar from a small Gulf nation into a global economic, diplomatic and media powerhouse, leaving behind an enduring legacy that continues to shape the countryโs remarkable progress.
Uganda stands in solidarity with the people and leadership of the State of Qatar during this period of mourning.
Iย thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn't ready to announce it, and I knew I needed some time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I played my last game. I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love
Honoured to have arrived in Doha, State of Qatar, on a special mission on behalf of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to deliver his personal message of condolence to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of the Father Amir, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
This mission reflects the enduring bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and solidarity that have long defined the cordial relations between the Republic of Uganda and the State of Qatar. In moments of loss, nations stand together in sympathy, reaffirming the shared values and partnerships that unite them.
Upon my arrival at Hamad International Airport, I was warmly received by Uganda's Special Presidential Envoy to Qatar, H.E. Amb. Dr. Rashid Yahya Ssemuddu, Deputy Ambassador Muhammad Baswale Kezaala, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
During my stay, I look forward to a series of high-level engagements aimed at further strengthening the excellent bilateral relations between Uganda and Qatar before formally conveying H.E. President Museveni's message of condolence to His Highness the Amir. I am confident that these engagements will not only reaffirm the longstanding partnership between our two countries but also create new opportunities for strategic cooperation in areas of mutual interest and shared prosperity.
PM @RobinahNabbanja I beg you. Start small. Dont use force. Early adopters will eventually be the influence you need to get others. Urge Ugandans to meet at their LC1. Let the LC1s direct public spaces for cleaning. Ultimately you want a citizens initiative not a state initiative
If I run @UG_Airlines public relationS, I'd get this man as an ambassador. Fly him to destinations, play his content on the airline screens and feature him in ads.
A ten year bet on him will pay off massively!
