For Liubov, the land is more than a source of income. It represents her family’s livelihood, her history, and her hope for the future.
Since 2021, her fields in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region have remained inaccessible due to explosive hazards left behind by the war.

With support from QFFD, @WFP and @FAO are working with Ukrainian Sappers to help make her land safe again.

Clearing these fields means more than restoring agricultural production. It means helping Liubov and other farmers safely return to their land, support their families, and begin rebuilding their lives.

بالنسبة إلى ليوبوف، لا تمثّل الأرض مصدرًا للدخل فحسب، بل تشكّل أساس معيشة أسرتها، وجزءاً من تاريخها، ومصدراً لأملها في المستقبل.

ومنذ عام 2021، تعذّر عليها الوصول إلى حقولها في منطقة خاركيف بأوكرانيا نتيجة مخاطر المتفجرات التي خلّفتها ال��رب. وبدعم من صندوق قطر للتنمية، يعمل كلٌّ من @WFP و @FAO ، بالتعاون مع Ukrainian Sappers، على تطهير أراضيها والمساهمة في جعلها آمنة من جديد.

ولا يقتصر تطهير هذه الحقول على استعادة الإنتاج الزراعي، بل يسهم كذلك في تمكين ليوبوف وغيرِها من المزارعين من العودة الآمنة إلى أراضيهم، واستعادة مصادر رزقهم، ودعم أسرهم، والمضي قدماً في إعادة بناء حياتهم.

H.E. Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, Director General of QFFD, met with H.E. Takashi Okubo, Special Assistant to the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador for the Reconstruction Assistance of the Gaza Strip. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Gaza and explored ways to support recovery and reconstruction efforts.

التقى سعادة السيد فهد بن حمد السليطي، المدير العام لصندوق قطر للتنمية، سعادة السيد تاكيشي أوكوبو، المساعد الخاص لوزير الخارجية الياباني والسفير المكلف بالمساعدة في إعادة إعمار قطاع غزة، حيث بحث الجانبان تطورات الأوضاع في غزة، وسبل دعم جهود التعافي وإعادة الإعمار.

As part of the State of Qatar's  ongoing  humanitarian  response in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela following the earthquake that struck Caracas, a delegation from QFFD conducted a field visit to assess ongoing humanitarian operations and review the progress of relief and emergency response efforts. The visit was carried out to help ensure the effective and timely delivery of humanitarian  assistance to affected communities.  

As part of this national response, the QFFD delegation, met with Mr. Simon Pestano, Director General of the Venezuelan Red Cross, where they discussed avenues for coordination and cooperation to support ongoing humanitarian response efforts. 

QFFD, in cooperation with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and Qatar Red Crescent, also supervised the preparation and setup of the Qatari field hospital, which forms part of an integrated national response implemented by the State of Qatar to provide urgent healthcare and life-saving medical services, alongside the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those affected. 

H.E. Delcy Rodríguez, Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, also expressed her deep appreciation for the efforts of the Qatari delegation, commending the State of Qatar's swift humanitarian response in the aftermath of the earthquake.

استمرارًا لجهود دولة قطر في دعم الاستجابة الإنسانية في جمهورية فنزويلا البوليفارية بعد الزلزال الذي ضرب العاصمة كاراكاس، قام فريق من صندوق قطر للتنمية بمتابعة سير العمليات الإنسانية والاطلاع على التقدم المحرز في جهود الإغاثة والاستجابة الطارئة، بما يسهم في متابعة وصول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى المتضررين بكفاءة وفاعلية.

وفي هذا الإطار، عقد فريق صندوق قطر للتنمية اجتماعاً مع السيد سيمون بيستانو، المدير العام للصليب الأحمر الفنزويلي، جرى خلال الاجتماع بحث آليات التنسيق والتعاون لدعم جهود الاستجابة الإنسانية.

كما أشرف فريق صندوق قطر للتنمية، بالتعاون مع قوة الامن الداخلي (لخويا) والهلال الاحمر القطري على تجهيز وإعداد المستشفى الميداني القطري، الذي يأتي ضمن استجابة وطنية متكاملة تنفذها دولة قطر ، بهدف توفير الرعاية الصحية العاجلة والخدما�� الطبية المنقذة للحياة، إلى جانب إيصال المساعدات الإنسانية للمتضررين.

كما أعربت فخامة السيدة ديلسي رودريغيز، رئيس جمهورية فنزويلا بالإنابة، عن بالغ تقديرها لجهود الوفد القطري، مشيدةً بالاستجابة الإنسانية السريعة التي قدمتها دولة قطر في أعقاب الزلزال.

H.E. Sheikh Thani bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Fund for Development, met with H.E. Dr. Barham Salih, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, to discuss ways to strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership between QFFD and UNHCR, review their joint efforts to provide protection, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable solutions for refugees and displaced communities worldwide, in addition to discussing topics of mutual interest.

اجتمع سعادة الشيخ ثاني بن حمد آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس إدارة صندوق قطر للتنمية، مع سعادة الدكتور برهم صالح، المفوض السامي للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، حيث تم مناقشة سبل تعزيز الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين صندوق قطر للتنمية والمفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، واستعراض جهودهما المشتركة في توفير الحماية والمساعدات الإنسانية والحلول المستدامة للاجئين والنازحين حول العالم، إلى جانب مناقشة عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

The first shipments of rehabilitation materials have arrived at the hospital in Harmalah, Bethlehem.

With Support from by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD @qatar_fund), the project will provide essential rehabilitation materials and equipment to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to support patients affected by injuries, limb loss and physical disabilities.

Future in Development Finance.

QFFD, in collaboration with Global Nation and the Gates Foundation, launched the first workshop of its Capacity Building Programme to support its transformation into a Development Finance Institution (DFI). The workshop explored global best practices in governance, institutional design, and innovative financing, contributing to the development of QFFD’s operating model and strengthening its long-term development impact.

A Qatari relief aircraft has arrived, carrying a field hospital provided by Qatar Fund for Development, as part of Qatar’s air bridge in collaboration with other Qatari entities to support urgent humanitarian needs following the earthquake in Venezuela.

This joint effort reflects Qatar’s continued commitment to rapid humanitarian action, strengthening relief and emergency response efforts while supporting affected communities with critical healthcare, shelter, and recovery assistance.

وصلت طائرة ضمن الجسر الجوي القطري، وعلى متنها مستشفى ميداني مقدّم من صندوق قطر للتنمية، وذلك بالتعاون مع الجهات القطرية، للمساهمة الفاعلة في تلبية الاحتياجات الإنسانية العاجلة في أعقاب الزلزال في فنزويلا.

ويعكس هذا الجهد المشترك التزام دولة قطر المستمر بالعمل الإنساني العاجل، ودعم جهود الإغاثة والاستجابة في المناطق المتضررة، والمساهمة في تلبية الاحتياجات الأساسية وتعزيز جهود التعافي للمجتمعات المتأثرة.
