@vicious696 I also loved playing this game, I really liked the cyber-futuristic/Norse mythology of the game. It was my first introduction to action RPG, I was obsessed with getting all the epic gear and trying different builds. The Comando and Champion classes were my favorites.

It sucks to admit, but I can't bring myself to sign on and play Season of the Deep. I know it's going to be a grindy / not-fun time just to see what happens in the story. And creators aren't allowed to capture/post the stories anymore. That's something I enjoyed doing as a collector for the community over the last several years. The story for Lightfall was so bad that I just don't even care what happens to the characters anymore.

Maybe with Lightfall there will be a narrative hook, but we've been strung along for so long with no conclusion to this thing and I'm just feeling super over it all at this point. PVP is still a disaster. I don't feel like there's a compelling reason to sign on for getting a hot new weapon or exotic. The grind to unlock your strand subclass is terribly unfun. I just got snapped out of the fun zone with D2 and I don't know how to get back to it. Booted it up July 9th to play the intro cutscene, and before that I hadn't touched it since May. I just don't have a reason to play right now. Story seems phoned in. PVP is a mess. Gambit hasn't changed. Strikes are mostly the same. I'll wait to see what happens but once you stop for a bit, man is it hard to get back into it.

@godfree I think this is a good transition from XBL Gold, I see the value of getting access to 25 high-quality games in GamePass Core over getting only 2 games a month with Gold; I rarely found any of the free games with gold appealing.
