Swimming legend David Wilkie has passed away, aged 70.

David won Olympic gold in the 200m breaststroke at Montreal 1976, as well as multiple world and European titles.

Our thoughts are with David's family and friends.

The Council say they are using the money to invest in public transport.

This week is National Eating Disorder week. There is still a desperate need for early intervention and for appropriate services to be available for people struggling! I will continue to speak out to raise more awareness and I am hopeful that things are slowly improving! ❤️

We have been campaigning for early mental health support hubs in every community since 2021.

Since then, the number of young people in need of mental health support has risen massively each year. Half a million young people were undergoing NHS treatment or waiting to start care in November. Half a million.

Yesterday the Government announced extra funding to 24 early mental health support hubs.

This is good news – tens of thousands of young people have fought hard to fund the hubs. And more young people across the country will be able to walk in and get support for their mental health, no appointment or referral needed.

But this is a mental health emergency. We need to see early mental health support hubs in every local area. We can’t waste any more time making this happen.

So so sad to hear about Dave Myers. Our Zoe loved him so much that she wanted to go to the School fancy dress day as Dave of @HairyBikers she was only 10 years old then. She started getting interested in cooking all because of him. She'll be devastated.
