A former Massachusetts nurse who strangled her three children was prescribed a cocktail of psychiatric medications in the months before the killings, according to testimony in her ongoing murder trial.

Lindsay Clancy, paralyzed from a failed suicide attempt, is on trial for the deaths of her children. Her defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, detailed medications prescribed leading up to the incident, including Zoloft, Ativan, Lorazepam, Zolpidem, Diazepam and Trazodone. He argues she was overmedicated and experiencing untreated postpartum psychosis, claiming the medications turned her into a “zombie.”

Court records show Clancy was prescribed as many as 13 psychiatric medications by multiple providers in the four months before the killings. Prosecutors argue the killings were premeditated and intentional, not a psychotic break. Clancy has pleaded not guilty and is pursuing an insanity defense.

The 57-year-old was transported to a hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition. Elijah is being held without bond.

Eric Bieniemy was at Chiefs training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri at the time. He left the team to be with his family and was not at practice Monday.

Head coach Andy Reid expressed support for the family, saying the Chiefs organization will give Bieniemy space to work through this.

A man has been arrested after stabbing three women near Porte de Clichy in Paris on Monday morning, French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez confirmed.
