I've always wanted to make a chill loot RPG: farm gear, grow stronger, follow the story, and uncover the dark secret of its world.
With help from Claude and Codex, that dream is now Starfall Chronicles. Thank you!
Demo coming soon.

Starfall Diary — Day 11 · I Did It
I beat it. Eventually.
That fight took a lot longer than I'd hoped. I kept backing off, making room, then going in again.
It still hurt when it hit me. But then I noticed my health recovering on its own.
Some strange red healing reserve was doing it automatically. I had no idea where it had come from. As my health went back up, the reserve went down.
I kept moving. I wanted that healing to last.
When the Orc Champion finally fell, I waited a moment before letting myself stop.
I'd actually done it.
It had dropped something, too.
A Bamboo Hat.
I picked it up and had a look. I'd fought plenty of mushrooms without finding one of these.
I put it away carefully. I'd ask the Elder when I got back.

Starfall Diary — Day 3 · Required Reading
Apparently, I know a technique now.
Don't ask me how. The Elder gave me a book, and before I'd even opened it, everything inside was already in my head.
Could've used that in school.
He also gave me a hundred Ingots for the journey. I was about to ask which way to go when he told me to clear out three Small Mushrooms and three Thickhide Mushrooms outside the village first.
"If you want to find a way home, you'll need to be able to leave this village alive."
I looked at the book, then back at him. He sounded completely serious.
All this... for a few mushrooms?

@LeiXu843160 It’s Starfall Chronicles, an indie RPG I’m making. I’m sharing its story as a daily diary, as if I’d been summoned into the game myself.

Starfall Diary — Day 6 · Level Up
After I finished with the mushrooms, I noticed something.
I actually felt stronger.
My legs felt steadier. Moving around took less effort. After all that running and fighting, I should've been exhausted, but I felt surprisingly good.
I checked my level again.
So leveling up really did make me stronger.
I'd been so busy trying to stay alive that I hadn't really thought about that.
How strong could I get? What else could those books teach me?
Up until now, I'd mostly been worrying about how to get home.
I still wanted to. But I looked out beyond the village and found myself wondering what else was out there.

Starfall Diary — Day 10 · That's the One
I kept fighting monsters as I made my way up the north road, looking for the creature blocking it.
By the time I finally found it, I'd reached level ten.
Orc Champion.
Those tusks. Those arms. Ten of the old me wouldn't have stood a chance.
I backed away without thinking. Then I stopped.
I'd felt the difference these past few days. Each level had made moving and fighting a little easier. I was getting used to what my body could do now.
Looking at it again, I found myself thinking I might actually be able to do this.
Still nervous, though.
I checked the way back, gave myself room to move, and went a little closer.
I wanted to try.
