People-powered vending machines. In Malaysia, the people from the lower income group are given the opportunities to earn money from vending machines. The foods they produced are placed and sold in these cashless machines. And the machines are installed at busy transit stations. The sellers only need to come up with the initial capital for food costs. This is an initiative by the government to reduce poverty. I got curious when I saw these machines and decided to find out more about this. Hope this program is sustainable and would truly benefit the people.
