I’m not afraid, because I’m going to meet someone who lives the dream I’ve always had. Someone who became what I once wanted to be. That’s why I’m not scared at all.
I overthink, I feel like I have no one, I keep making mistakes at every step I take, and recently it’s been getting worse. I don’t know where to go or what to do, and only now do I realize that what my relative said was true.
I am a broken person, my mental state has long been damaged, but I’ve always kept everything inside. I never wanted to let it out, whether mental or physical pain, for one reason only, I didn’t want to burden anyone else. But lately I’ve realized I can’t control myself anymore.
When they asked, “Why a psychologist? So college will be easier?” the answer was simple, because it has been my dream since I was a child to be someone people can talk to. Being useful, making people smile, that’s what I’ve always dreamed of.
I was once asked by my dad’s relative, “What do you want to be when you go to college?” I proudly answered, “I want to be a psychologist.” My relative replied, “A psychologist? Stressed people trying to heal stressed people.” I could only smile and laugh it off.
