On Twitter I had two accounts (~tech and ~home though they overlapped). I'm not using Twitter much at the moment.
I'm on mastodon but with a single account (that doesn't have much tech stuff at the mo): @[email protected]
(I may split accounts over there in future).
There is a recording of my intro to the Eclipse Amlen #MQTT broker at EclipseCon 2022 now available: https://t.co/bHeTnLtK6l #iot#amlen#pubsub#messaging
@TheMaxamillion@spotfoss A lot have moved in the last week. For now I'm in both places but my mastodon feed is getting busier whilst my feed here is just people watching the car crash.
@knolleary I'm on https://t.co/exAp6nxyy6. It's all federated - the main thing is the admin of whereever you choose can read your DMs (and so can the admin of the server you are DMing an account on).
Have you seen the #EclipseCon2022 schedule? Be sure to register so you can check out the #IoT & #Edge track featuring members of the #EclipseIoT Working Group https://t.co/EsbUTEzVLN #IIoT
I think I might be discussing IoT protocols with the co-inventor of the spreadsheet. As you do. #typicalsunday#mqtt#visicalc#amlen

There seems to be an oversight in this article in terms of opensource MQTT brokers. No #amlen hence there are some interesting claims about opensource brokers and their scalability and reliability(!) #mqtt
There are different types of MQTT brokers out there. How do you pick the right #MQTT broker that fits the architectural requirements of your #IoT application? Read this in-depth comparison article by Gaurav Suman to learn more ➡️ https://t.co/huMCEl1Fza
I'm going to be at EclipseCon 2022 in Germany in October speaking about Amlen:

If you are attending and want to chat about Amlen - let me know - I'd love to meet up!
@andysc@jonquark@pete_v@tmhrtly The equivalent linux software for Thinkpads can be configured to keep the battery at a percent of your choice:

I think the further from full/empty the better but obviously if you keep it at 50%, you'll have much less usable charge on the move.
Eclipse Amlen 1.0.0.1 is available:
https://t.co/j3SRMTBfak
It's not a flashy release, just a few fixes to the WebUI.
I'm keen to hear about people who are already using Amlen - let me know if that applies to you #mqtt#iot#amlen
Tom Lord, developer of Tom Lord's Arch (I think the first free software implementation of what we'd consider a modern VCS), died last week: https://t.co/DyWksi80uL
