It's sad how many people spend so much time arguing with others around here, I don't understand the need for that. I always come here to connect, laugh and keep my ass updated with news and information. Having Twitter fights and shitty drama ain't something I'm interested in.
365 days sober today. I've clawed my way through the last few days. I just wanted to be free. I've passed the point of no return; that door is too far behind me. It's open, beckoning, but I've come too far to turn back now. I'm grateful to have reached this milestone.
Some people can't wait for the weekend. Some hate Mondays. Some don't mind working because they love their jobs. And some people who suffer from severe depression and battle with suicidal thoughts struggle daily just to see the next day. Some are hoping not to wake up at all.
In Uganda, we are just living blindly with little projections. Most people donโt know their blood group, sugar levels, BP, height and weight, heart rate, functionality of their body organs/systems etc.
It amuses me how some people feel they can tell you how to think/ act regarding personal issues you're experiencing when they have no firsthand knowledge. That's like telling someone about the sights at a particular location when they've never been there but read about it online.
I think it's important to realize that it's not about you. When someone's behavior is out of character, or someone seems distant or haven't been calling or texting you back, it ain't about you. Do not internalize other people's behavior. Some people are really going through shit!
