@KJB_UK @DailyMail No, not defending as I am not in full possession of all the facts, the same as everyone else. I am just looking at this situation as someone with more than three braincells ๐ค
@KJB_UK @DailyMail Well, it's the Daily Mail, so it's probably misleading on purpose and you can bet this will get weaponised by the media against those with learning disabilities
Labour's disastrous plight is very easy to understand.
The people who run the party were good at one thing: smashing the left.
Destroying, not building, is their skill. They have no vision for the country. They're in power because the Tories imploded, and no other reason.
Even if a disabled person has never worked. Those who are unable through severe disability of any kind. I have never resented my tax being spent to give them a better standard of living. The only people who do resent it should get a Time Machine back to Nazi Germany.
Iโm seeing even well-meaning accounts criticise disability cuts as hitting โthe most vulnerable.โ Reminder: disabled people are not inherently vulnerable. We are vulnerable when governments choose to withhold the resources disabled people need to live dignified and secure lives.
@Peston What happened to โthose with the broadest shoulders should bear the heaviest burdensโ? Starmer and Reeves are NOT Labour MPs. This is not the Labour Party I know. Shame on them all.
