When Bryan the courier reaches the top of Raccoon City Hospital so he could deliver the chemical needed to complete the cure for the T-virus in Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie, is he actually the strongest version of himself because of his infection?

Earlier in the movie, the courier gets infected trying to help a little girl. By the time he reaches the hospital, his condition has gotten worse and the T-virus has spread through his body. Despite this, he’s able to survive an elevator shaft and wrestle with an acid-vomiting monster, and he even shoots out a broom handle with shocking precision. This come across as feats he couldn’t have performed at the beginning of the movie.

The T-virus is intended to “turbo charge” human evolution, so it’s not impossible that the courier was able to experience a better version of himself for a short time before the infection takes over. But really, it’s more likely that he’s simply a metaphor for the player “getting good at the game” by this point.
