Quake is a thematic technical product company that builds products for refined lifestyle and rigorous activity.
Apparel • Wearable Tech • Tools • Experimental
They’re a user too and see the flaws in utility, function, effectiveness and even aesthetics.
This will help Quake build deeply useful and hyper-functional products, because we’ll experience our builds from the user’s perspective too.

2 new products. Yay.
An outerwear piece and an accessory. Something I’ve had in my everyday life and have always wanted to see built better.
Starting with products I’m deeply passionate about and frequently use has been the best cheat code for building Quake’s first products.
Being close to a product reduces the blind spots that come from seeing its development strictly from the builder’s perspective.
I believe a passionate builder builds from the user’s perspective.
Especially now, in a noisy, crowded world, I must make sure that happens.
I can both obsess about the product, build the best I can, then get the attention of my audience and make them buy it.
Build, sell, that’s the cycle.
More on that at another time….
Ciao.

Pink Floyd blares away as I sojourn on… bootstrapping my way to the promised land.
Building Quake’s back office has been as vital as the product itself; back and front, like product development and sales, all go hand in hand. (1).
On one hand, I do respect and partially hold the idea that a good product sells itself, and I believe mine will when people get it, use it, and talk about it… but getting it in the first place is where my “sales” come into play. (3).
Cuatro!
The journey to building the greatest products company the world has ever seen continues… whoa, chill Michael, let’s not get carried away.
Just a Tyrell Corporation type company will do.

I should come up with a single word for this to add to this build philosophy.
Oh yeah, “Reiterate”. That’s the one!
It’s back to work for me.

Build, Refine, Render, Refine, Repeat….
This build philosophy for Quake is a tried and tested methodology I came across through the act of building and trying to reiterate and perfect builds that I’ve done. (1).
Just when I thought it was a finished product, I found several ways to make it just a little bit better, from stability to opening, security, and ease of use.
I think I need to add one more word to this: going back to constantly reiterate and perfect my design. (4).
