Gov Signs Med Aide Bills: Michigan created a certified medication aide role to help nursing facilities address workflow/staffing challenges and provide best-in-class resident care. In other states, med pass errors decreased with the use of medication aides.

We support Gov. Whitmer’s budget to help retain/recruit staff, calling for increasing the $2.35 wage add-on that RNs, LPNs, Certified Nurse Aides, and respiratory therapists receive to $3.85. And it allocates funding for non-direct care workers to also receive a $3.85 add-on.
