This article from Economic Times answers how to allocate your assets so that you don't run out of money even if there is a strong bear market immediately after retirement.

The only negative news is no expert suggest more than withdrawing 3% of corpus per annum. That is considered as safe withdrawal rate for India. This would ensure you don't run out of money in your life time.

This also means you need to have higher retirement corpus than planned.

3. The sales guy who helped me on-board asset plus was also able to view the personal details of my client's - his email, phone number, portfolio evaluation and folio numbers. This is flagrant misuse of client broker privacy code. And I am extremely disappointed with assetplus
