Curbing #methane#emissions has been a key topic of conversation so far at #COP28. The USA has pledged to cut 80% of its methane emissions in the next 15 years. To achieve a goal like this oil and gas companies will need to accurately monitor and detect methane gas leaks.
This is good news, first and foremost, for the planet. Itโs good news also for our portfolio company @qlmtec, whose #Quantum Gas Lidar detects, visualises, and accurately quantifies emission rates of methane and various other greenhouse gases.
Recently,
@Arqit's SVP, Dominic Broom, discussed "Innovation in Trade Finance" with @TMI_live. He highlighted how new technologies, including quantum, are enhancing trade finance amid challenges faced by corporate companies. https://t.co/7yBQMbRk72
@qlmtec's CEO, Murray Reed, spoke to the UK government on quantum industry needs at the House of Commons' SITC. As pioneers in using #quantum tech to cut greenhouse gas emissions, QLM aligns with government priorities, crucial amid the new government quantum missions.
Exciting news! @NATO has announced the first cohort of start-ups to work with DIANA. Of 1300 applications, the 44 companies represent the best and brightest in tech innovation. Great to see among them two UK quantum tech companies, @AquarkT and SECQAI.

He mentions how Quantum Exponential is well positioned to support the industry going forward. We are proud to be working alongside Anchored In and @SciTechgovuk to advise the government on how we can best stimulate late-stage investment into quantum. @griffitha
Great to see @AnkeLohmann from @anchored_in and Simon Andrews from @FraunhoferISE in parliament yesterday at the Science Innovation and Technology Committee. Some excellent points raised about how we generate wider industry participation in #quantum investment and how we can
achieve the government's goal of driving ยฃ1bn private investment into quantum technologies over the next ten years. Simon Andrews talks about the importance of quantum-specific funds that understand the investment and industry landscape.
Mission 5
By 2030, mobile, networked quantum sensors will have unlocked new situational awareness capabilities, exploited across critical infrastructure in the transport, telecoms, energy, and defence sectors.
In the #AutumnStatement, the government outlined five quantum missions, building on their ยฃ2.5bn strategy.
We are pleased to see the government's continuing commitment to support the full range of quantum technologies and encourage public and private investment in the sector ๐งต
Mission 4
By 2030, quantum navigation systems, including clocks, will be deployed on aircraft, providing next-generation accuracy for resilience that is independent of satellite signals.
