Giving up on him is going to be crazy. Heโs earning like a second division footballer. At the worst, he can be a decent backup left back. Still only 22. Araujo early 5-6 times more, and is an even more of a calamity. Move them out first.
๐จ JUST IN:, Barcelona have held initial talks for defender Castello Lukeba, theyโre the club showing the most interest. @DTalkingArsenal#Transfers ๐ต๐ด๐
There was a twitter thread building up to the 2022 WC which showed all signs of Argentina's win purely on historical trends repeating. Messi already has the greatest undisputed career in football history. A 2nd World Cup will simply immortalize him for a century
Germany got their 4th star (2014) 12 years after losing a WC final (2002)
Italy got their 4th star (2006) 12 years after losing a WC final (1994)
Brazil got their 4th star (1994) in the USA
Argentina lost a WC final 12 years ago (2014) and are playing in the USA ๐
@TacticoModerno Let's wait and see man. Alvarez is clearly a good ball striker. If we manage to get him, he should ideally work MUCH better in a Flick system. The market's inflated and it's going to be just as worse post the World Cup. Don't think he's worth โฌ150m but โฌ120m is somewhat okay
@TacticoModerno As for the profiles, you and I don't obviously know better than Flick and Deco so we'll leave it at that. As for the price I agree with you that we're overpaying for Alvarez. But he's good and prioritizing us... so for the first two years he clearly won't demand Osimhen's wages
@TacticoModerno I don't know what your agenda against Alvarez is but Gala's asking price is upwards of โฌ140mil. Osimhen's good but he'll be earning Lewandowski's wages right from Day 1. No concrete reports to show he's willing to take a paycut
Iniesta dribbling was insane man. Look at how fast he is and the close control he has. People think every 8 can play as winger. He had a ability no 8 has. That dribbling + ability to make final pass is just a generational mix.
@SaF7910 I've been to Utd's stadium tour once back in 2021. Great stadium, lots of history. Ironically covered it during my Manchester trip when I caught my first City game (Chelsea vs City.. the one where De Bruyne scored the winner). Never fancied Arsenal so I was somewhat a Utd guy
@thedoctor00_ We could but not to the extent where we're capable of winning of a league title brother. We won the league partly due to slave shifts from MSN even against fodder. This is where we disagree. But I respect your opinion
Always the same narrative with Enrique's haters. Did he have bad talent ID back then? Yes. But what were Bartomeu and the sporting area doing? 3-0 Juve, 3-0 Roma, 4-0 Liverpool, 8-2 Bayern had the same LB, CB, and GK. Suarez stopped performing in the CL since 16/17. Nuance is key
@thedoctor00_ I'm obviously aware it was in March but he 6-0 was a huge anomaly and players like Munir scored in that. That doesn't mean Munir is a good player no? We were very good until before the break. The league isn't the Champions League and the board never prioritized where we needed to
@thedoctor00_ Early in the season is never a clear reflection of what happens eventually later in the season and we've seen it time and time again with Barรงa specifically even under Flick. Players are still charged to win without depth early but fatigue kicks in due to lack of depth later
@thedoctor00_ Levante was early in the season. It wasn't a guarantee as a long term solution is my point. Sooner or later we would've dropped points anyways whether one of the trio gets rest or no rest cause the March international break was detrimental. We NEEDED depth and we didn't have any
@thedoctor00_ What does what change? Having a competent board would've extended our golden generation and prepared for the next. It's plain obvious. It isn't all on Enrique. He did what he could. It is also Bartomeu and Rosell got us transfer bans and bad sporting decisions
@bullet_gm@thedoctor00_ Be respectful here. I never once called you an ape. We're having a debate, not disrespect each other. "Couldn't be the main man due to Messi, did it easily at PSG". These are your words not mine. I won't encourage this discussion further
