Fanatical? A friend described me as fanatical about my running. I run 5k most mornings. It's funny how one persons 'norm' is another's fanatical behaviour. Perhaps that's the joy of the human condition; similar in many ways and also so different.
So some mornings you can skip like a gazelle, and others when your legs feel like they are made of lead. This morning I felt like a gazelle! Speed and distance steadily improving - amazing what a bit of regular exercise can do! #SelfLeadership#Coaching#JustRun
So I've stepped up the schedule! Now running six days a week and thankfully no return of my heel injury. Isn't it funny how expending more energy, gives you more energy. #SelfLeadership#Coaching#Run
Thank you Bruce! Just completed my morning run, 25 minutes in the rain - glorious, and even managed to put a sprint in for the last 60 seconds accompanied by a rock classic by Bruce Springsteen! #SelfLeadership#Coaching
So into week four of running after my foot injury - where did that four weeks go? Running longer and varying the pace. Felt almost serene listening to Vivaldi - The Four Seasons - a beautiful way to start the day. #SelfLeadership#Coaching
So grateful for the parts of my run that took me through the trees this morning - so much cooler! Just realised, I've been running off and on for the past 10 years - running isn't something I do, its now part of who I am - I'm a runner! #SelfLeadership#Coaching
So three weeks in and still running - feel more like a tortoise than a hare, but heel injury has subsided and its great to be out and exercising again! Patience is a virtue. #SelfLeadership#Coaching
A gentle run this morning - a shorter stride and slower pace - made me think of behavioural change, takes time to get used to it and so easy to go back to what was and not stick to the new regime. It takes focus and practice to feel natural and good.#SelfLeadership#Coaching
After 8 weeks I'm back running - gently! I had to give in to my injury. I think the 'surrender' the 'accepting' of 'what is' did me the world of good. Funny how 'learning' comes in many forms. #SelfLeadership#Coaching
Ahh.... so no running for me for a while - I think I've overdone it - I've developed Plantar Fasciitis - not life threatening, but very painful - ouch! #SelfLeadership#Listentoyourbody๐
My impression on the world! My footprints where I stretch after exercise. I wonder what other impressions we leave without realising?.....#SelfLeadership#Coaching
Driven and consistent or pushy and stubborn? I know I'm both, but I've just completed the Couch to 5K for the third time, so I'll take it as a positive!๐๐คฃ๐ #SelfLeadership#Coaching
Fabulous run in the early morning sun - felt some warmth on my face and saw the trees sprouting bright green. Spring is definitely with us. The season is turning; new beginnings for many of us in so many ways.#SelfLeadership#Coaching https://t.co/7kLe7gvgb7
So week 9 of the couch to 5K and consistently running for 30 minutes! Sorry to bang on, but it does make you feel wonderful - mind and body are linked. #SelfLeadership#Coaching#MentalHealth
Feeling elated and fabulous - just completed a 28 minute run and smashed my step count and distance - well I have been running for over 4 years - I knew I'd get the hang of it eventually!๐๐คฃ๐ #Persistent&Consistent #SelfLeadership#Coaching
One of the greatest gifts I have embraced is 'Reflection' - taking time to understand, learn and make choices to plan a way forward with wisdom. #SelfLeadership#Coaching
Its funny what I learn from my running - I think I cant do it, but I just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and I get there! Bit like life really - you just gotta keep going, one step at a time! #SelfLeadership#Coaching
