Here we go again scammer alert ⚠️
Same scam as the scar post. This is a loneliness-bait romance scam, also called a pity hook or engagement bait.

The exact sentence is being posted by several accounts at once. One version from @Eman5695 pulled about 5,000 likes and nearly 1,000 replies. Another, @Jassica445 (“Come closer… if you dare”), got hundreds of replies. A third account swapped the age to 24 and kept the rest of the script word for word.

The photo is the bait: a polished blonde woman holding a cake with “50” candles. The skin, lighting, and candles look AI-generated, which is common in this template. The caption is written to trigger sympathy — no husband, no children, no family, cake she made herself — so men reply with “happy birthday” and offers of company. Those replies are the lead list.

What follows is the usual path:

- The account DMs the men who answered kindly.
- Chat moves to Telegram or WhatsApp.
- Fast affection, stolen or synthetic photos, no real video call.
- Then a money ask: travel, a medical emergency, a crypto “investment,” or gift cards. Sometimes it flips into sextortion.

She is not turning 50, and she did not bake that cake. The woman in the picture, if she exists at all, is not the person running the account. Don’t reply and don’t follow the DM.

It’s a romance-scam opener, not a real person asking for honesty.

The exact line — “Be honest, do you think I’ll ever be able to find love with this on my face?” — is being copy-pasted right now by multiple accounts, with the same kind of photo: an attractive woman and a cheek scar. One of today’s posters, @AnitaParve57846, has a Telegram link in the bio. Another, @SandraEllejduf, says “am always here for meet up.” Those accounts are not the woman in the picture.

The scar is the hook. A flawless model shot gets ignored or flagged as fake. A pretty face plus one visible scar looks “real,” and the question is written so men reply with reassurance. That reply is the lead. The account then moves the chat to DMs, Telegram, or WhatsApp.

From there it usually follows the standard script:

- Fast affection and a private chat off X
- Stolen or AI photos; the face is almost never the person typing
- Excuses for never doing a live video call
- Then money: an emergency, a travel ticket, a crypto “investment,” gift cards, or later sextortion if intimate photos were sent

The woman in the photo, if she is real, is usually an identity-theft victim whose picture was lifted. The operator behind the account is often a scam crew, not her.

Don’t reply, don’t follow, don’t click the Telegram link. Reverse-image search the photo if you want confirmation, then report the account.

It is almost always a romance or “pig-butchering” scam opener, not a real woman trying to meet you.

The picture is bait. The line “Hi, how can I contact you?” is the first move in a script. The goal is not a date. It is to pull you off X onto WhatsApp, Telegram, or a phone number, where the platform cannot see the conversation and the account can be thrown away.

### What kind of scam

Two versions use the same opening.

1. Romance / catfish. The profile uses a stolen photo or an AI face of an attractive woman. If you answer, the chat stays warm and personal, then asks for gift cards, “emergency” money, or fees to unlock a video call. The person in the photo is not the person messaging you.

2. Pig-butchering (romance-investment). Same photo and greeting, but the script runs longer. They build a fake friendship or relationship for days or weeks, then mention a crypto or trading site that “made them money.” The site is fake and controlled by the same network. Small deposits look profitable. Withdrawals get blocked behind invented fees. You never meet the person, and the money is gone. Authorities describe this as the main pattern: unsolicited contact from an attractive stranger, then a fast move to an encrypted app, then an investment pitch.

A shorter variant only funnels you to a paid Discord, OnlyFans-style page, or adult link. Same opener, smaller payoff.

### Why it is on X

X is a cheap hunting ground for this.

- New accounts can be made in minutes with a stolen or generated photo.
- Message requests and replies reach people who never followed the account.
- A blue check can be bought, so the profile looks more real than it is.
- Once you hand over a phone number or WhatsApp, the scam leaves X. Reporting the X account no longer stops the chat.
- The scripts are run at scale, often from organized groups, so the same “Hi, how can I contact you?” hits thousands of accounts.

A real stranger who wants to talk does not need your private contact in the first message. Legitimate people stay on the platform until they know you.

### What to do

Do not reply, and do not send a number, email, or link. Reverse-image-search the photo; it often appears on other fake profiles or belongs to a model or influencer. Report the account for spam or impersonation, then block it. If you already moved the chat off X or sent money, stop paying, keep the messages, and report it to your bank and local police (in New Zealand, Netsafe and the police cyber unit). Anyone who then offers to “recover” the funds for a fee is a second scam.

Joints do not move themselves. Muscle does.
When that power fades, the joint gets used less. Less use means weaker muscle. Weaker muscle means even less movement. That is the loop that steals your power.
I learned that from Dr Toshima Yamauchi. His message was blunt. Rest is not the whole answer. You have to move.
DeerPower was built around that idea. Support the body that trains. Then add exercise.
DeerPower deer velvet is freeze-dried New Zealand velvet. Pure. Simple. A daily companion for people who still want to get up, train, and take their power back.

Why is this scam on X
Those messages are on X because X is the shop window, not the shop.

A photo of a young woman and a line like “Hi, how can I contact you?” is a lure. The account is almost never the person in the picture. The picture is stolen or generated. The line is a script. The job of that message is only to pull you off X onto WhatsApp, Telegram, or a phone number, where the real scam runs with no public record and slower takedowns.

X is useful to them for a few plain reasons.

Public reach is cheap. Anyone can reply to a post or send a DM. A new account with a pretty photo can hit hundreds of people in a day. If you post, reply, or have followers, you are visible. That is enough.

Accounts cost almost nothing. A burner profile, a stolen selfie, and a copied bio can be live in minutes. When one gets reported and banned, the next one is already up. Reporting still matters, but it does not stop the supply.

The audience has money and attention. X mixes ordinary people, creators, and a heavy crypto crowd. Romance scams that turn into fake trading apps — often called pig-butchering — do well here because the platform already talks about money, investing, and “opportunities.” The friendly woman is the hook. The trading link comes later.

Off-platform is the point. On X the chat can be seen, reported, and banned. On a private app they control the story, send fake screenshots of profits, and pressure you in private. “How can I contact you?” is the handoff, not a real question.

Photos do the work that words cannot. A face stops the scroll. People reply before they check the account age, the follower count, or whether that same face appears on other profiles. Most of these accounts have almost no real posts, follow almost no one back, and only talk about moving the chat.

Impersonation rides the same road. Some use a celebrity or founder photo and the same opener. Others pretend to be a fan, a traveler, or someone who “just found your page.” The pattern is the same: attractive image, short greeting, ask for another app.

So the scam is not “on X” because X invented it. It is on X because X is where strangers can reach you in public, for free, at scale, and then walk you somewhere harder to police. The safe move for your audience is simple: do not answer, do not send a number, do not click the link, block and report. A real person who wants to talk can do it on the platform where you already are.

[QuantumHerbalist @Quantumhealernz]

That pattern is a classic off-platform romance / catfish opener on X, not a real person trying to reach you.

What you are seeing is almost always:

- A stolen or AI-generated photo of a young woman
- A thin, generic first message: “Hi”, “Hey”, “How can I contact you?”, “Are you real?”
- The real goal is to get you off X onto WhatsApp, Telegram, or SMS

Once the chat moves, it usually becomes one of these:

1. **Romance / pig-butchering scam**
She builds a fake relationship for days or weeks, then steers you into a “crypto investment,” a trading app, or “helping her with a transfer.” Money you send is gone. This is the most common version aimed at men on X.

2. **Simple romance / gift scam**
Same fake profile, but the ask is smaller: gift cards, “emergency” money, plane tickets, or phone credit. No investment pitch, just emotional pressure.

3. **Escort / sugar bait**
The photo and tone imply dating or paid companionship. The next step is a fee, a “verification deposit,” or a link that steals card details. No meeting ever happens.

4. **Account takeover bait** (less common with this exact line)
Sometimes the “how can I contact you” chat is used to phish login codes or get you to click a fake X/login link.

Why the photo and the short line work: the picture is meant to stop the scroll; the question forces a reply and a move to a private app where X cannot see the scam or ban the account as fast.

Red flags that match what you described:

- Attractive young woman, often “model,” “student,” or “traveler”
- New or low-follower account, few real posts, generic bio
- First message asks for WhatsApp/Telegram/phone instead of talking on X
- Replies that feel copy-pasted and ignore anything specific you said

Do not reply, do not send a number, and do not click any link. Block and report the account on X (Report → It’s suspicious or spam, or Impersonation / scam). If you already moved the chat, stop sending money or codes and treat any “investment site” they sent as fraudulent.
