I can not overstate how much I adore this.
Hex Maniac in casual winter clothes, drawn by the extremely talented @hi_kessy
This was worth every single penny and I shall fawn over this excessively. Thank you, Kessy. ๐๐
This is kind of missing the forest for the trees.
The point wasn't that there's a wider array of attacks they could've taken from, but that said array exists in the first place, standing both in direct contrast to what they replied to and working as a good example that trying to do something different isn't that hard.
Personally I'm a-okay with developers thinking an animation looks nifty and recreating it though, depending on context, so I just did the DiCaprio point and chuckled.
Nah they right tho.
They made the point, twice, that regardless of it being narratively foreshadowed, they simply aren't a fan of that narrative choice.
You're sitting here insinuating they're media illiterate because they voiced a personal preference for how they would've liked for things to go and spent every response to them trying to establish yourself as the more knowledgeable person when it comes to Arknights while discrediting them. For simply disagreeing with how the story is playing out.
So yeah, pretentious sounds about right.
Genuine question, but who exactly are you even arguing with right now? All OP did was give example arguments people are likely to make, or have already made, taking neither a stance for or against any of them, hell they technically even split it into being 2 pro-Reborn and 2 pro-Evolved examples.
Like, are you arguing with the concept of a person that believes the hypothetical argument being made?
@GravelordZ Nonono, you don't understand, they 'have' to dunk on Big Triple A for every possible reason.
No time to play games when you can't afford to slack on building that anti-corpo rep or the moots might think you're some kinda sellout.
In that case I suggest taking your own advice. The person owned up to their mistakes, grew and took steps to prevent them from repeating.
The fact you are attempting to portray them only as who they were at their worst S E V E N or so years ago without any acknowledgement of their efforts to get better is beyond sad.
I'm glad you're taking action to improve your own health. โค๏ธ It's a big step to acknowledge an issue and an even bigger one to actively work towards solving it.
Sad to see you go, but given your reasons entirely understandable and I wish you nothing but the best going forward. ๐ซ
I definitely understand missing simpler/better times. For me that would be 2018-2021 honestly, like as a general time from within my life.
While I do understand it though, I don't think it's healthy, or productive, to cling to memories of those times, especially given this specific situation.
You wish for things to be like how they were, but that just isn't really feasible:
- The community will never be the same for somewhat obvious reasons and while wishing it were is, as mentioned, entirely fine, it's also unfair to what there is now. The current community is compared to an image of the past they can't live up to and it just feels like they're being seen as worse or lesser, nevermind that any that have been trying to keep the same vibes alive then feeling like they've failed.
- It's equally unfair to say he only focuses on the content. He's now more content oriented, yes, but that's because his entire situation changed. Previously he pretty much had a full-time job with some level of income security, multiple avenues to said income and at least a moderate reach. He may not have sat entirely pretty, but he sat fairly comfortably where he was and could focus his energy and attention to more community interaction, something which he still did more of at first, and still does now just to a lesser degree, until he realized the new circumstances meant he simply didn't have the energy to keep it up the same way anymore.
He's having to completely rebuild everything from ground up with none of the safety nets he had prior, so it only makes sense that he's putting his focus more on building new foundations and getting back to a point where he regains those safety nets. This 'is' his livelihood and as much as it sucks, he's gotta set priorities.
Times, and things, change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse but all you can do is adapt.
I'm incredibly sorry if all of this sounded super harsh, by the way, not exactly great at sugarcoating anything and I have a habit of coming across as very overbearing. ^^'
"Tries to eat your horse" and it's literally just the equivalent of when a dog jumps at a person out of nothing but excitement. ๐
Should the owner train the dog better? Yup.
Did the dog get lucky the horse didn't get annoyed enough to consider kicking it? Yup.
But I'll take a hundred dog owners like that over even a single one of the psychopaths in the replies here that wish serious harm or death on the owner and/or dog.
Y'all are sick and twisted individuals, jfc.
@BagelBackpack@_zyr__@RealmRevealed@RiotYasuna This person would hate multiple of the chats I frequent where people even dare write in 'two' full sentences, sometimes three.
Unheard of and heretical, I know.
@Gurren69420 Please point me to the part in the quoted tweet where the person is either supporting AI or calling for people to support it.
Them critiquing OPM S3 by saying that AI could've done a better job at this point is the exact 'opposite' of support as it implies that AI is inferior.
Agree to disagree. Both are equally impressive but for different reasons.
If a human achieves it, the effort they put in to achieve it is impressive.
If a machine achieves it, then the technology involved and the people responsible for the tech and/or the robot itself are impressive. Even the robot itself, as the finished piece of technology, would be impressive.
You can't exalt the effort of one person while disregarding the efforts of another solely because the latter's solution to the proverbial problem doesn't meet with your approval despite fitting your own criteria for what makes art impressive so long as those criteria stay consistent.
Just replace "Art" with "Engineering" and it still fits.
