@ApoloJedi_ That’s a false standard for science. Science uses multiple methods and takes its measures quantitatively. There is no such thing as a single “evolution meter.” You should probably try to actually learn how science works before embarrassing yourself by asking ignorant questions.
@StandswithGod Humans are still born with tails, though it is rare. Many legitimate photos exist, like this one from the National Institute of Health’s National Library of Medicine. Yet more proof of our evolutionary heritage.
@DocAtCDI This kind of thinking is why we’ll never succeed as a species. Always looking for faults in our differences rather than looking for the strengths in our similarities.
@AtheistPhoenix Anyone who uses the term “retard” as an insult is being cruel and ignorant. Having an intellectual disability is NOT a negative or laughable trait.
@Revelation1217 The Ark story is mythical. It’s been thoroughly disproven by several different branches of science, and literary analysis shows the story to be part of a broader family of Near Eastern deluge traditions, predated by Mesopotamian stories like the Epic of Gilgamesh.
@tabeit03 “Guard your mind, be mindful of what you feed it with.” You’re right. This is especially true when you are feeding it with Christianity. Feed it with critical thinking instead. It will never be hungry again.
@DwayneDibley16 As a practicing Jew, Jesus fully supported Mosaic law, and all its cruelties. He never spoke against it, and only addressed its interpretation in specific cases. He accepted the authority of the Torah, even its treatment of women and children. Gentle Jesus meek & mild he wasn’t.
@archie_lochie There is good evidence that Yahweh is purely a literary creation. In early Canaanite/Ugaritic religions he was a minor storm deity serving under his father, Elyon (or El) in the divine council. This is actually mentioned in Deuteronomy 32:8-9. Also reference Psalm 82.
@Thevine_ntwk You read them already believing the Bible to be true. Others study the critical scholarship, and look at the Bible for what it actually is: a mixture of both historical fact and spiritual myth-building. More myth-building than facts.
@kyletanderson The only evidence we have for Jesus is that he was an apocalyptic preacher who was crucified by the Romans. Everything else said about him is nothing more than unproven claims, and claims are not evidence.
@kyletanderson Thanks. I’m also a kind, compassionate person. I spent decades as a Christian. After becoming educated in critical scholarship, science, and mythology, I learned actual facts about my belief, and had no choice but to let it go . Faith is a poor substitute for facts.
