This week hit different. 💛

Watching what my Mom has walked through this year already had my heart heavy - and then the world lost the Queen of Country Music, Dolly Parton. That kind of loss settles in your chest in a way that's hard to explain. And then seeing the Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight, and her team finally make the decision to pause and let her rest... it brought up something deep.

There's something that breaks your heart a little when the people you've always seen as unshakeable start to show their human side. These women poured everything into their gifts - never coasting, never taking it for granted - and watching them reach a season of slowing down doesn't make them any less powerful. It just reminds you that strength has seasons too. We all do. And that truth hurts, even when it's beautiful. 😢

But then this video came along and cracked my heart wide open in the best way. Watching the Godmother of Soul, Patti LaBelle, and Gladys Knight share that sista OG moment at the close of the Queens Tour - two legends, two lifetimes of grace, standing in that love together - that's something words can barely hold.

These women remind me of my Mom. Strong. Giving. Always showing up.

So let this be the reminder we all need: love on your people right now. Tell them. Show them. Don't wait for a tour finale or a farewell to say what your heart already knows. 🙏🏾
