@RogersHistory Because the education system is a mess. We don't need SEND reform, we need a school reform. Slow the content down, encourage a love of learning not racing through the content. Early support. Sort out draconian toilet policies. Slightly smaller classes now birth rate is plummeting
@Headteacherchat There's still a whole half a term of school left. 1/6th of the school year. Professional boundaries for the emails but a half term is definitely reasonable to not expect things left until September
@SigglesMFC@BigFitzmagic@joanne23714@aviationbrk And the passengers who aren't just able to ignore it? No amount of telling my autistic person in our party to ignore it would actually make them able to ignore it. It is a frightening thing to hear on a plane 30000+ feet in the air.
@BigFitzmagic@joanne23714@aviationbrk Other passengers are liable to panic. For all they know they could have an autistic passenger sat several rows away who takes things very literally. Suddenly hearing bomb could have a huge knock on to fellow passengers
@MaldonGirl1966 And had other passengers trapped on a plane with no idea who would potentially be left highly distressed by it. Not a safety risk at all 🙄
@BBCNews The risk for a panic mid-flight is too high for an airline to take that chance. There's been understanding and adjustments for disabilities and then there is ensuring safety for the majority.
@BBCNews There are hundreds of other passengers on the plane. There will be some who are genuinely frightened of the word bomb being said repeatedly on a plane. Others might be autistic, like my children, who would take it literally due to their own disability.
@_Unknown_D_ And people would just deliberately keep their income low. As someone in social housing, if this were the policy I wouldn't bother to look for more hours or promotions
