God uses every situation for His glory. Even through the sickness that brought you to the hospital, someone else was blessed by the testimony you shared and their heart was transformed. God is sovereign, He knows exactly what He is doing. Nothing happens outside of His perfect timing and purpose.

In 2021, while I was working in the bank, I became ill and was taken to the hospital. One of the tests the doctor requested required an internal V examination. I explained to the laboratory technician that I could not undergo the procedure because I was still a virgin.

She looked at me in amazement. She knew I was an educated, career woman in my late twenties, well-dressed, confident, beautiful, and working in a corporate environment. Even though she was a Christian herself, she found it difficult to believe.

She asked, “How did you manage to do this?”

I replied, “It is the love of God in my heart. His love constrained me.”

She paused and said, “It has to be the love of God and the fear of God. Human determination alone cannot achieve this.”

I agreed.

What I did not know was that her intern was standing there, listening to our entire conversation.

Five years later, in 2026, I returned to that same laboratory. The intern had completed her training and was now working there. She recognized me.

Then she told me something I will never forget.

She said that after hearing my testimony that day, she made a decision before God that she would remain sexually pure until marriage. She eventually entered a relationship, kept herself throughout their courtship, got married, and today they have a baby boy.

Side reflection: At the time, I wasn’t happy that I had fallen sick. But after hearing this testimony four years later, I became grateful for that experience. Nothing else could have brought our paths together if I hadn’t fallen ill.

She made that decision because I simply shared my testimony.

Could it be that many of our young girls become sexually careless because they think “everyone is doing it” or because of the popular “nobody holy pass” mentality?

Dear sisters, never be ashamed to say that you are a virgin or that you got married as a virgin. Our young girls need these testimonies now more than ever.

Sadly, this is the kind of testimony many people do not want us to share. They would rather hear stories of restoration after sexual failure. Thank God for those testimonies, but let us also tell the stories of God’s preserving grace.

In 2014, during my first year at the university, I made a vow before God to remain sexually pure until marriage. Eleven years later, by the grace of God, I got married as a virgin and had never masturbated once.

I made that vow because a woman who ministered at our sisters’ conference shared that she had also gotten married as a virgin.

Before that meeting, I was already a virgin, but I had never attached any real value to it. If I am honest, one of the reasons I had remained a virgin up until then was the fear of my parents. But her testimony challenged me to pursue purity as an act of devotion to God, not merely as a result of parental restrictions.

That is why, whenever I am invited to speak to teenagers, I intentionally share my testimony of getting married as a virgin who never masturbated.

A few months ago, my husband was ministering to teenagers and, without any prompting from me, he told them, “I married my wife as a virgin.”

The moment he said it, I knew God had won another victory through that testimony.

Dear young person, whether male or female, keep yourself pure before the Lord. It is worth it.

And if you have fallen before now, do not give up. You can make a fresh commitment to God today, just like that former lab intern did.

There is grace. There is sufficient grace to keep you.

There are moments when God burdens the hearts of His people—not to stir fear, but to awaken them to prayer.

Last night, I had a disturbing dream. I saw a young man luring young girls into his home to sexually exploit them. One of the girls endured the abuse because she desperately needed food and a little money. Then I saw that the man's own daughter also became a victim of the very evil he had sown.

Beloved, whether through dreams or the realities unfolding before our eyes, one truth remains: we are in a season that demands discernment, holiness, and fervent intercession.

The enemy is relentlessly targeting the next generation. We must arise to pray for our children and teenagers. We must build homes and churches where they are safe, heard, protected, and discipled in the fear of the Lord.

May every hidden work of darkness be brought into the light. May God expose every predator, heal every victim, preserve our sons and daughters, and restore righteousness in His Church.

This is not the time to be silent. This is the time to watch and pray.

Happy Birthday to my father, mentor, teacher, and example in ministry, Apostle Gideon Odoma (@gideonodoma).

It is difficult to find the right words to express what you have been to me. You have been far more than a spiritual father. You have been a guide, a mentor, a rabbi, and a living example of what it means to follow Christ wholeheartedly.

The first thing that struck me when I met you was your humility. I remember watching how you related with people and wondering, How can a man carrying such grace be so approachable? There was no unnecessary distance, no struggle to gain access. You were open, warm, and genuinely present with people. That alone preached a sermon to me long before I sat under your teaching.

As our relationship grew, you took me under your wings and became a true father to me. Those years before I got married were some of the most formative years of my life. You held me by the hand and patiently walked me through seasons I could never have navigated alone.

People often commend my theology, my approach to Scripture, my discipline in study, and my commitment to sound biblical interpretation. What many do not know is that so much of what they see today was shaped under your tutelage. You taught me how to read the Bible faithfully. You taught me how to interpret Scripture carefully. You taught me to ask questions of the text, to think deeply, and to handle God's Word with reverence and integrity.

Beyond teaching me Scripture, you transformed the way I think about the Christian faith itself. You helped me discover that Christianity is not intellectually bankrupt. You showed me that faith is not blind or irrational. Faith can be reasoned. It may transcend human logic, but it is never illogical. Through your ministry, I came to appreciate the beauty, depth, and intellectual richness of the Christian faith.

Beyond the classroom, you have fathered me with your life. You have sat me down countless times to counsel me, correct me, encourage me, and share wisdom from your own journey. You have strengthened me in moments when I was weak and challenged me whenever I needed to grow. Even today, you continue to ask the hard questions that keep me accountable and push me to become a better servant of Christ.

One thing I deeply admire about you is your courage. You defend people when they need defending. You stand for what is right, regardless of who is involved. When something is wrong, you do not remain silent. You speak the truth with conviction because your loyalty has always been to Christ above all else.

You have shown me that greatness and humility can coexist. That theological depth and genuine love for people belong together. That one can be brilliant without becoming proud. These lessons have shaped not only my ministry but my life.

If more Christians lived with your sincerity, courage, humility, love, and commitment to truth, the Church and indeed the world, would be a much better place.

Thank you for every conversation, every correction, every prayer, every word of encouragement, and every sacrifice you have made to raise sons and daughters who will stand faithfully for Christ. I owe God deep gratitude for bringing me under your care, and I will never take that privilege for granted.

As Paul said, "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). You have given me a living example of what it looks like to follow Christ, and I count it one of God's greatest gifts to my life.

Happy Birthday, Apostle Gideon Odoma.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, preserve you, increase your influence, and reward your labour abundantly. May generations yet unborn rise to bless God because you faithfully answered His call.

I love you deeply, sir.

The people in Noah's day were consumed with the ordinary affairs and pleasures of life, living without regard for God or His warning. Their lives reflected the kind of self-centered, pleasure-driven attitude that Paul later describes in 2 Timothy 3:1–5.

This is exactly what we see in the world today. There is a growing spiritual decline marked by indifference to God, the exaltation of self, the pursuit of pleasure over holiness, and a rejection of divine truth. Humanity continues with business as usual, often oblivious to the reality of God's coming judgment.

Just as the flood came suddenly upon an unprepared generation, so the return of Christ will come upon many who have ignored His call to repentance and faith. Therefore, the Church must remain watchful, holy, and faithful, proclaiming the gospel until He comes.

On Saturday morning, while I was praying, I had planned to attend two meetings. As I prayed, however, I sensed very clearly in my spirit that I was to attend only the first meeting and not the second.

That was not my plan.

I knew it was the voice of the Lord, yet I struggled because I had several reasons why I wanted to attend the second meeting. There was a real battle within me between what I wanted and what God had said.

When I arrived at the first meeting, I began to pray, “Lord, give me the grace to obey You. As much as I desire to obey, I still want to attend the other meeting.”

After some time, the Lord strengthened me, and I was able to say no to that voice of disobedience. I thank God I obeyed because while I remained in that meeting, the Lord did so many wonderful things, all to His glory.

Reflecting on this experience, I realized something profound: if I had not been praying that morning, I probably would not have heard that instruction from the Lord. It was in the place of fellowship that I received direction.

In Acts 13:2, it was while the believers were ministering to the Lord and fasting that the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Likewise, in Acts 1:13-26, after Jesus’ ascension, the disciples devoted themselves to prayer. Out of that atmosphere of prayer came the conviction that Judas’ place among the apostles needed to be filled.

Mark chapter 1 also illustrates this beautifully.

Jesus spent the day teaching, casting out demons, healing the sick, and ministering to countless people. That evening, He healed Peter’s mother-in-law, and many more people came to Him to receive healing and deliverance. Humanly speaking, He must have gone to bed very late.

Yet Mark 1:35 tells us that “very early in the morning, while it was still dark,” Jesus went to a solitary place to pray.

While He was praying, the disciples searched for Him and eventually found Him, saying, “Everyone is looking for You.”

One might expect Jesus to return immediately because there was a large crowd waiting for Him. Instead, He replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come” (Mark 1:38).

I believe that in the place of prayer, Jesus received fresh direction from the Father. Although remaining with the crowd would have been a good ministry opportunity, fellowship with the Father gave Him clarity about His next assignment.

Many times, we miss God’s next instruction because we neglect fellowship with Him. We hurry out of His presence and then wonder why we lack direction.

I remember reading about King Josiah. He was one of Judah’s most faithful kings and walked uprightly before God. Yet he died in battle against Pharaoh Neco.

As I meditated on that passage, I asked the Lord, “Why did such a godly king die this way?”

The Holy Spirit impressed upon my heart that Josiah had not inquired of the Lord before going to battle. Later, when I read 2 Chronicles 35, I saw that Scripture confirms this reality. Josiah failed to discern God’s will concerning that battle, and it cost him his life.

How many hardships could have been avoided if we had first inquired of the Lord?

This does not mean that every time we ask God a question, He will answer immediately. There are moments when, because of an established life of fellowship, He gives clear and immediate direction. But that kind of sensitivity is cultivated, not rushed.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐝. Spend time praying in the Spirit, worshipping, interceding, meditating on His Word, and waiting before Him. Often, He may give just one instruction.

It may seem like a small word.

But if you obey that one word, it can preserve, align, redirect, open doors, prevent unnecessary battles.
