39 - On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous - Ocean Vuong
I love how even in prose you can tell when the writer is a poet. This book is proof of that. A queer coming of age story about love, language and (not) belonging.

38-End of Watch - Stephen King
We’re back to the type of horror I’m used to with King, I personally didn’t like the crime attempt. This one felt dragged but authentic, the characters true to themselves (much less self absorbed). The ending felt poetic, the end of an era.

“I read that parents suffering from PTSD are more likely to hit their children. Perhaps there is a monstrous origin to it, after all. Perhaps to lay hands on your child is to prepare him for war.”
Most people in France can't afford housing.
They didn't blame immigrants, or transgender people, or video games, or avocado toast.
They blame the government. Because that's who's responsible. That's always who's responsible.
