Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, 21, died after falling around 40 metres (131 feet) from the so-called “Skeleton Bridge” in Limeira, São Paulo, during a rope-jumping activity. Reports from Brazilian authorities and multiple news outlets state that staff allegedly launched her in a “Superman” position without attaching the main safety rope. Witnesses can be heard shouting about the missing rope moments after she was released.
