@TraexRich Wow, as I ponder moving higher in management or towards the cloud, I hadn’t thought about this, but this is a very valid and relatable point.
@DtheNP@mujer_cita_MIA@uppityknitter@BlackKnight10k I was just pondering last night about this same thing, how many years are being taken off my life by the constant micro aggressions and gaslighting that we must endure in order to make a living. My blood pressure stays sky high, now even outside of work.
@BlackKnight10k Yes, I do. Yesterday, the day before, the week before, last month, last year and the years prior. This is my life. I watched her and watched my life. I’m exhausted. Mental health, not vacation days, are a normal part of life, in order to make it.
@MacKenzieAGreen Absolutely. It is my top priority and indeed an act of rebellion against the anguish and death wished upon me by people like those the Honorable Judge Brown Jackson had to deal with today.
@MacKenzieAGreen Yep, that’s exactly what it’s like. And especially when you’re living that horror daily, to watch it simultaneously is just too much. I’ve turned it off. Protecting my peace.
@MacKenzieAGreen Yes!! It’s so triggering!! I tried to watch reporting on the hearing the other day and could only stomach a few mins. Today I am still intentional limiting my exposure.
@DrVEvansWinters I came Twitter and searched “Ketanji all black women” because this is my life and so many black women I know. Your tweet came up instantly. This is so frustrating to watch. I can only watch a small bit. I’m tired as hell. Just trying to exist.
