Charged with the capital murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Prosecutors allege he stabbed her to death at his Hollywood Hills home in April 2025 to prevent her from exposing their relationship, concealing her dismembered remains in a Tesla.
DA Hochman recently told KTLA, “The preliminary hearing is set to begin July 21. We estimate it will take anywhere from three to seven days, at which point we will present evidence to a judge to hold D4vd to answer on the charge of first-degree murder with special circumstances, as well as lewd and lascivious conduct.”

Police have released a stock image of the vehicle and a computer-generated image of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are hunting a woman after an attempted kidnapping in Warrnambool earlier this month.

Detectives say a 33-year-old woman was walking home from work on Willow Tree Lane about 4:30pm on Tuesday, July 7, when she was attacked from behind and forced halfway into a white 2016 Hyundai i30.

The victim fought back, escaped the car and kicked the offender before the woman stole her phone and drove off.

Police have released a computer-generated image of the suspect, described as a Caucasian woman aged in her 20s, with blonde curly hair, wearing a black hoodie and bright pink hiking pants.

The Hyundai was a hire car and was seen travelling along Koroit, Hyland and Giffen streets, and Raglan Parade in the hour after the attack.

Two people have been arrested after driving a car the wrong way through the Burnley Tunnel and over the Bolte Bridge, before a head-on crash in Port Melbourne.

Police say a Subaru Outback was seen travelling the wrong way through the tunnel at around 11.30pm last night, before continuing onto the bridge and colliding with a Kia Sorento on a city-bound off-ramp.

The two occupants of the Subaru, a 60-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman from Rye, were arrested at the scene.

Six people in the Kia were not injured.

The court is allowing only 10 members of the public into the preliminary hearing in the #D4vd case. That is outrageous and not how public access to the courts should work.

There is supposed to be a reasonable balance between seating for the press and seating for the public. This is a large courtroom, yet only 10 seats are being made available to the public. Her family has not appeared previously and they could be called as witnesses so they shouldn't be in the gallery anyway, so they are not being held for that purpose. Not to mention they are not allowing cameras even for the testimony that doesn't include CP.

Documents have been sealed throughout the case, and now access to the courtroom is being severely restricted. At this point, it feels as though they are making up their own rules. #d4vd #celesterivashernandez
