"The gift of a beginner is fresh eyes.
The longer you're in a field, the harder it is to perceive new truths. Your mind is biased toward refining what you're already doing instead of exploring fresh terrain.
Take your expertise and apply it to something new."

Learn from me. Don’t take people too seriously until they earn that level of access to you. Don’t allow yourself to want something so badly that you’re willing to skip the process to get it. It never, EVER, ends well. ✨
So, now, not only did I not get what I wanted, but I have to now go through a whole grieving process for a person that didn’t think too seriously of me. When I have 10,000 more productive things I could be dedicating time, energy, and space to.
Doesn’t matter if you really want them in your life. Doesn’t matter the logistics. Save your big heart the trouble of having to mend by making sure people don’t take your presence, abilities, or resources for granted. ✨
I will continue to defend Christians on all platforms because y’all continue to demonize us and we literally just love all people. If you don’t want to listen to what we believe, fine. But we’re not going to stop spreading the Word because we were created to do that. PERIOD.
Leaders: please don’t allow short-sighted decision-making to affect your legacy-mindedness. Decisions you make now will always make a reappearance later - either as an opportunity, or a stumbling block.
