This morning I have mostly been shovelling mud off the road and footpath following recent floods. As the water recedes very slowly it leaves behind a thick layer of mud and silt. Thanks to the team @YorkBID for coming along with power washer. Appreciate the quick response π
@CityofYork as your systems are down atm I am hoping you will see our request here for the street cleaning team to attend to Queens Staith ASAP π mud is being dragged up the road and trampled into the hotel #floodaftermath@theyorkbid cleared the footpath yesterday π
Come on @CityofYork have you forgotten to clean the footpath on Queens Staith? River went down well over a week ago! Not a great look for π #York@MakeItYork@theyorkbid
@CityofYork is there any chance someone could pop some traffic cones between Queens Staith Road and Queens Staith to prevent vehicular access until after the staith has been cleaned??? Traffic is likely to drag mud up and along Skeldergate creating skid hazard.
We will update about re-opening as soon as we have access to levels beyond Monday evening. We are so sorry for the inconvenience this will cause. π #floodalert#riverouse#hotelclosure
We are sorry to announce the hotel will temporarily close Mon 21st and Tues 22nd Feb due to rising river levels following #StormEunice . We have attempted to contact guests arriving Monday and Tuesday to advise of the closure. 1/2
Tough day today! Thankful for an amazing team π it appears linen shortage is now as common as staff shortages! Who knew hotels would be so busy?! Had to launder sheets and lots of pillowcases ourselves to make up rooms for arrival. Done by 8pm! π€―
