Oh yes, cheat codes! And those great GameShark Ultimate Codes books were oftentimes needed to pass ridiculously hard 8-bit and 16-bit games back in the day. It was crazy how hard a lot of past video games were. I mean, I can understand today's FF franchise/IP being hard and the KH series being a pain in the ass with missions, etc., but come on, the older gen console games were obviously made by coders/programmers who did not try to beat their own creations once they shipped the games out to retail stores, etc.
