My honest opinion on #BTS #ARIRANG album 🖋 I believe this album truly marks a clear line between "what was and what will be" in a story with a capital S. When BTS arrived on the K-pop scene, each album released marked a significant milestone on the scoreboard of "what we mean by K-pop and what fans of the genre expect from an album." Each release was also a cultural shock (from the taboo themes addressed to the pop, R&B, and rap musicality pushed to the point of pure dissonant provocation). Each album was a flight of fancy, asking me as a fan, to take another step on a journey without comfort but pure emotion. But this is how true loves are born, the most faithful ones. In a certain sense, the most uncomfortable ones. And this is where I come to Arirang. The pattern of tension in the relationship with fans is the same, but this time the type of request and the cost are different. BTS have given us a one-way ticket to an unknown destination. Arirang tells you "you're either in or you're out." "Either you get on board or your journey is over." They're the same kind of artists we fell in love with...but I deeply feel that their way of offering music to fans has changed. Now, the music isn't just for us, it's for them too. And that makes me particularly proud. My personal passcode for this album is made up of these adjectives: ✔️Courageous ✔️Outspoken ✔️Honest ✔️Chic ✔️Exploratory ✔️Out-and-out ...and is a big yes. #BTS_ARIRANG
