Sometimes I wonder how many closeted Nigerian mothers have never known what it means to truly love a woman and be loved in return because they married for duty.
Today is #EndSARS#LekkiMassacre remembrance, and I pray, from the deepest part of my heart, that the pain of that day is not reduced to politics.
Some wounds never truly heal. Some memories never fade.
To those who will inevitably come asking the insensitive question, “Where are the bodies?” A reminder that on 19th July 2023, the Lagos State Government secretly approved the mass burial of 103 bodies tagged “2020 EndSARS Victims”
Let today be about remembrance, not political point scoring. Let it be about the lives lost, the families left with unanswered questions, the survivors who still carry the trauma, and a nation that must never forget what its young people were demanding.
May we never get so comfortable with tragedy that we forget to mourn. May we never become so politically divided that we lose our humanity.
Never forget. Never again🖤.
You people have normalized assaulting grown men and women for being gay.
Tomorrow, you’ll come on here to open your came|-a$$ mouths and talk about PVC and bad leaders, when there’s no difference between you and those devils.
