@Emily_x_Juliet Oh, I used to enjoy the knowledge you shared when I was a student, and now my feed blessed me to see that you worked on the game I enjoy the most at the moment, happy birthday ✨

Understanding the difference between personal work and building a portfolio is important for your mental health. Personal work is art your make for *yourself*. It can be for self-expression or improving your skills.
Building a portfolio is done for *other* people.

Here’s how I used to explain camera blocking to students. I showed them this step-keyed animation scene staged in different ways. Often students, would present their scenes in a neutral way, often with poor composition and flat staging. Perhaps something like this -
One of my artworks got thrown into the AI-mill and regurgitated into this nightmare. Person offers their service "for a modest fee" via ArtStation, too.
The second pic is my original.
This is most definitely not the only case and I'm digusted beyond measure!
@MatteoBagnoli2 Oh my god, it's such a great and precise shot Matteo, count me as a fan of it!

I hope you're having fun and that everything is alright on your side 😊
@Bracksis @Emily_x_Juliet I'm leaving Ireland tomorrow, it was such a nice trip :D
But I think you're going to get the rain I didn't get for the last 9days 🙄🌧️
Still, enjoy your trip!
While teaching animation, this chart of learning stages becomes super clear.
With the first stage being the most dangerious one because the student is obvlivious to the fact they dont know what they dont know, which if they arent smart enough can affect their progress.
