@Lucas91906 @NHC_Atlantic Stop trying to discredit the experts. We know Laura is catastrophic regardless of whether itβs Category 4 or 5 right now. Letβs focus on that instead.
@coshjoupe @BradenPittsIndy @B_Koehler3@AntBonney@NHC_Atlantic Itβs def fun (I say this as a climatologist trained in forecasting); I think the issue is when itβs at the forefront of the convo about a given storm.
@BradenPittsIndy @coshjoupe@B_Koehler3@AntBonney@NHC_Atlantic Precisely what I was getting at in an earlier comment! Lots of armchair meteorologists love to speculate about this stuff, sometimes to the detriment of folks actually listening to the experts.
@B_Koehler3@AntBonney@NHC_Atlantic All signs sure point to that, but I donβt think itβs useful to jump the gun and call it Cat 5 before itβs officially designated. We already know itβs catastrophic, and I think a lot of ppl yelling Cat 5 just want the excitement
