President @JDMahama must fulfill his campaign promise to revoke LI2462, a move that would safeguard 60% of our forest reserves for a brighter future for our nation. The proposed amendment only protects 10%!
Revoke, not Amend!

Let’s Have a Frank and Serious Conversation About the Search on Addison’s House
(1) First, why on earth is this search being marketed by some enthusiastic press as a “raid”?
(2) What is a raid? And is there any legitimate reason why Addison, of all people, wouldn’t be of interest to criminal investigative agencies? If we all agree that Addison isn’t beyond the reach of the law, including arrests or searches, then let’s have a proper conversation about what the real problem is—if there is one.
(3) We’re told an image was circulated showing Addison’s CCTV system being dismantled, with its hard drive taken away. Some have tried to spin this as evidence of foul play. But we now understand the hard drive was seized to be reviewed. What is unfair or illegitimate about that?
(4) When President Nixon had tapes in the Oval Office, prosecutors were immediately interested. It’s standard procedure. If investigators find a recording system during a search, of course they will secure it. It’s evidence—basic law enforcement practice.
(5) And let’s be honest. This search didn’t happen out of the blue. Addison knew he was under investigation. Anyone who cared to know, knew. The process was quiet and proper—until Addison chose to make it public. Without his own theatrics, involving the Minority Leader and a press conference, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.
(6) So I ask again: What is the problem thus far?
(7) Afenyo-Markin claims that National Security officers who conducted the search stole Addison’s money and his wife’s earrings. That is a serious and shocking accusation. And it cannot be taken lightly.
(8) By law, any seizure following a lawful search must be properly documented and catalogued. If property is seized, there’s a paper trail. To allege theft is to allege a criminal act, and that demands an inquiry.
(9) You and I weren’t there. I cannot say whether these alleged items were officially seized or if they truly went missing. But if there’s a claim that they were stolen, then a formal criminal complaint should be made, and a proper investigation launched. That’s how it works.
(10) Frankly, the Minority’s attempt to portray the officers as “hungry and underpaid party boys” reeks of cheap propaganda. It made me immediately suspicious of the claim’s veracity. But that’s just my instinct—and it shouldn’t obstruct a proper inquiry. If the allegation has merit, let’s deal with it seriously.
(11) ORAL (Operation Retake Accountability and Legitimacy) will involve arrests, seizures, and officers doing their job. If the strategy to impede scrutiny is to hold press conferences and push emotional buttons, you risk becoming the proverbial boys who cried wolf.
(12) I call on the government to ensure that all searches are conducted with body cams on officers and protocols in place that allow the subject of the search to observe the entire process. Get ahead of these spin campaigns. If you don’t, emotional and petty politicisation will be weaponised to undermine legitimate law enforcement work.
(13) Let’s take the theft allegation seriously. Those making it should be compelled to file a formal complaint. Due process, more than anything, deflates propaganda.
(14) I am firmly behind ORAL. When the law is followed, prima facie legitimacy stands. If there’s something wrong that I haven’t considered, point to it specifically. And I promise I won’t wave it away with innuendo and hyperbole.
(15) This doesn’t mean our entire warrant system isn’t due for reform. It is. But for now, let’s deal with the facts—one by one.
Shalom.

@KoffiBuckles@Listo_Mens Yeah bro, but the big 6 on the currency was introduced by His. Ex. Fr. President Kuffour in 2002 on the 10,000 note, and has since dominated on almost all our cedi notes, so if indeed there was that big 6, why did it took us so long for that recognition 🤔
Ghana is proud 🇬🇭
