@RobBiddulph Brothers in Arms, Roxy Music and Blondie... Drifting off lay on the back seat (no belts) & waking up to the last few tracks of the album. Feels like they're engrained in my subconscious memory π΄
Fellow #freelance#graphicdesigner do you make clients sign a contract before beginning work on a new brief? Just had my first sting & don't want to repeat this mistake. Furious that someone has made me feel naive after 20+ yrs in the biz! #smallbusiness#shoplocal#branding
@devoteassociate Ah-ha! Like it. I guess Queso could do the official agency thing like you. And just stop feeling guilt or awks. I'm way too relaxed and trusting obviously. Thanks Devote π
@Aleenah_14 Have you ever had clients refuse to pay the balance at invoice stage? It's so disrespectful - especially when I find they've gone with another 'designer' on the sly who has done a really second-rate job. #DoubleDiss
@zaheer_anwar What percentage deposit? I feel like I've been lucky for so long & now have to get my head around pre-nupping every startup I help! Always preferred a relaxed approach but maybe it's time to put my big girl pants on.
@domsotgiu Wouldn't you be put off as a relatively low budget micro business? Virtually all my clients are startups. Have always enjoyed the trust & connection we've had. Now feel like I've just been lucky... until now.
@devoteassociate I'd expect that from an agency, but none of my freelance colleagues have ever felt the need? We just never had any issues. Thanks for your tip. Lesson learnt π
So you've completed a client's #branding project.
