@DjinnMustDie@clarityysix@MarathonTheGame I’ve got a bit of playtime. I think within a year or so after the hate campaign dies down a bit the game will pickup some steam. I’ll be online for a while.
Half the community is going to hate me for saying this, but the only way to keep Bungie alive right now is to support Marathon. People keep comparing Marathon numbers to Destiny and frankly, that's ignorant. Marathon was never designed to do Bungie numbers. The conversations about that were very upfront early. It's more aligned with Tarkov than Destiny. Completely different target markets that just so happen to have a wide intersection with Destiny target markets since it uniquely has so many.
@Thzapameko The hate campaign did not help. It’s worth noting that most people who have actually played the game have been satisfied with the experience and Sony has already stated that the retention is within their expectations.
I can’t stand lame ass mfs dissing Marathon because of this Destiny update. Marathon without a doubt can/will survive with a smaller player base than Destiny required because it’s an easier and cheaper game to maintain. I’m a huge fan of both games (1/2)
watching Marathon players diss Destiny and vise versa is so fucking lame. That being said, I hope everyone else enjoys the two cakes while we have it and please @Sony green light a D3 I would support the shit out of it (I’ve already bought $1000 in micro transactions in Marathon to help kickstart it) (2/2)
