Light can circle Earth about 7.5 times in one second, yet it takes 8 minutes and 17 seconds for sunlight to reach us, around 4 hours to reach Neptune, and over 4 years to reach the nearest star system. Even Voyager 1, travelling for decades, is still only about a day of light travel from Earth. The speed is extraordinary. The distances are even harder to comprehend.
