Mike McFarland was the first director to cast me in my lower register voice. I had never utilized it before but he saw my range before even I did and helped me so much in the beginning of my voice acting career. I’ll forever cherish the memories. 🕯️

We lost another legend today. 🥹

According to voice actress Tiffany Vollmer, Mike McFarland, the beloved voice actor, ADR director, and producer, has passed away.

Known to generations of anime fans, McFarland voiced iconic characters including Master Roshi in Dragon Ball, Jean Kirstein in Attack on Titan, Jean Havoc in Fullmetal Alchemist, Buggy in One Piece, and Ojiro in My Hero Academia.

His incredible talent and decades of contributions to the anime industry will continue to be remembered by fans around the world.

Rest in peace, Mike McFarland. 🕊️
