There are big emotional beats the writers don’t properly earn (like the death of Elvish archer Rían)
There are huge setups with no follow up (the Doors of Durin)
Making out with your future Mother-in-law is whack.

@r_0md @NourTrabel Glad to answer! A few key things can be improved in the show but nobody needs to “fix” Galadriel though - I have NEVER once thought such things as I was accused of yesterday. But Celeborn deserves his time onscreen. I refer you to @BenSimulator_1’s excellent take on Celeborn: /1

@countesslillian I’m not a lore bro but I do believe the narrative inconsistencies of this gorgeously produced show could be markedly improved by finding a mite better synergy with the original text. Is that a crime to say so? Having written for stage & TV myself professionally do I know nothing?
