The greatest wealth is created by being an early investor in #Innovation
Making that investment requires believing in something before the majority of people understand it
You will be mocked, ridiculed & criticized for your non-consensus action
It is absolutely worth it!

🎯 7 Under-looked companies with strong moats 👇
🇦🇺 $PME.AX - Visage their software is the leading best-in-class for radiology, so much so that some refuse to work with any other software, they have never lost a client (sticky), and they are in 11/20 of the top USA hospitals. They can complete super complex implementations of the software for new clients in 1/3 of the time competitors need. AI detection in radiology is their new venture….
🇸🇪 $ITECH.ST - They own a unique patent to the world's best chemical applied in ship painting to stop barnacles from attaching to ships, this is extremely helpful as they save fuel (costs) they can hit environmental targets. New studies showcase that the paint even makes the ships faster. A big part of the TAM is unexplored
🇺🇾 $DLO - Powerful network effects and high switching costs, its single API gateway bridges global merchants to 900+ local payment methods across 40 emerging markets, making rival migrations prohibitively complex. Big companies can do business in many countries they weren’t able to do so, a sticky business model.
🇨🇦 $PNP.TO - They use a 390mil deficit from the previous management to offset any potential gain in their portfolio so they pay no taxes. To add the expertise of the Leonard family in VMS they sure have a head start, very interesting portfolio as well.
🇦🇺 $WTC.AT - Super switching costs and potent network effects in its CargoWise suite boasting a 99% retention over four years makes defecting akin to rebuilding a global supply chain from scratch. But it is also a data behemoth, 50 billion data transactions annually makes this a gold mine of predictive analytics.
🇺🇸 $KNSL - The have a very advanced platform that has data analysis for underwriting and claims management, this is how they can calculate the deals with the best r:r. They know when to get aggressive and when not. They also provide the quickest offers while the average specialty insurance provider needs 2-3 months they can do it in 1-2 weeks
🇬🇷 $ILYDA.AT - Super high switching costs, ERP solutions are deeply customized and integrated into pharmacy, retail, and public-sector operations, backed by mandatory customer training and multi-year support services that make vendor migrations costly and impractical. They are deeply embedded with the Greek Government, which I may add is going all out in software in the public sector
Because you read till the end, Ilyda is extremely interesting and one of my top watchlist picks 🤝
@AltaFoxCapital Been this way a long time. As for me, I was always prepared for my meetings with management. Because of it, I developed a reputation for being able to “shred” financial statements. Really, all I did was go through them ahead of time and highlight some things to ask questions on.
Earnings calls are Wall Street theater. Totally staged.
All analysts, buy- and sell-side, get punished for asking tough questions on earnings calls. It's worse for the sell-side, who risks also upsetting their buy-side clients.
"Hey guys, great quarter" - Always permitted.
I'm Singaporean.
Singapore is known for being high-tech.
But our tech is NOTHING compared to what I saw on a 15-day China trip in March.
From DeepSeek Sex Dolls to Electric Airships to Drones for traffic incidents...
Here's 9 shocking tech in China now:
Today's 4th of July could have easily been a lot different if people like this didn't spend their 4th of July's in places like this over the past 200+ years.
Memorial Day: Each soul lost had parents, grandparents, family, and friends. Many left spouses and lovers. Often they left children.
Each had a life ahead.
Each had a life they left.
For an ideal, a nation.
For you, for me. For all.
For this, we remain eternally grateful.

Big default numbers coming out of PE land ...
"In all of 2023, defaulted loans and bonds from private equity-owned companies totaled $50.5 billion, which was 55% of all defaulted debt."
Investor pro tip: If a company you care about discloses an SEC investigation, check the timestamp on the disclosure.
Too often, I see companies hold earnings calls but wait until after the call to disclose an SEC probe.
Why? It keeps analysts from asking about it on the call.
