@SnazzyLabs Got the same thing, when I went to the store they said they haven’t gotten their FedEx truck yet today with them, but they said it usually comes in the afternoon 🤞🤞
So people are shocked that a product that isn't even out to the public yet doesn't have a bunch of 3rd party apps optimized for it...
(I understand MKBHD outlining this in his review since this video is meant to cover everything and will be relevant until the next one comes out, but the public reaction seems way overblown)
Managed to get one through Best Buy for release day! Unfortunately, I had to get the white one instead of the blue one but nothing a case or skin can't change
@Seapeekay Imagine making money from X and not just giving them $8 a month for the love of the game 🙏 (im coping with this subscription since they took away the real blue check)
I don't make content myself anymore, but one of the coolest things always for me is when I go to events and I hear people talking about the video's I've worked on or when a friend messages me and is like "Oh yah, this family member watches ___" and it's someone I work with. Personally, it kind of bridges that gap of just being a "number" and associating it with real people
AB testing the intros or editing styles for different videos is gonna be INSANE.
Also, dynamic thumbnails for new vs returning viewers are super exciting. I've personally noticed some really good thumbnails lose an initial A/B test because the core audience doesn't immediately recognize it as their favorite creator, but then applying that thumbnail later will give a MASSIVE boost to the video since it's mostly new people seeing it and they don't have a bias about the creator and are clicking on it solely for the packaging.
🚨 Huge update: YouTube just announced video AB testing, thumbnail generation & more.
I’m here in the YouTube offices in New York… and they’ve just made their biggest update in years.
Here’s the 3 changes I am most excited about + my take as a strategist running some of the biggest channels on youtube:
1. Video AB testing
YouTube is going to allow you to upload three different versions of a video now (starting with shorts and then rolling out to more) and test them over a period to see which gets the best watch time.
My take: I am so excited by this and it feels like something we’ve all wanted for years. How often are you stuck between two different intros, or two different ways of ending a video?
Now having the ability to get real data back is insane. I am going to heavily use this with intros.
2. Dynamic thumbnail testing for different audiences
YouTube will now actually dynamically test different thumbnails with different audience segments. Allowing you to have different packaging for your returning viewers vs casual/new.
My take: This is very interesting. Current AB testing for thumbnails essentially helps you find the best thumbnail for the biggest majority of your viewers… but that isn’t the best thumbnail for every segment.
A core viewer might click on something very different to a brand new viewer. I think this will allow creators to print more views and test new styles that previously might have never won in the test.
3. Thumbnail generation in YouTube studio
Directly in your studio you will have an ‘ask studio packaging assistant’ that can analyze your video and past performance and generate thumbnails (and titles) for your video.
My take: This one’s been coming. The interesting thing for me is that when presenting this, youtube said something very interesting: they will match your style.
This is the hardest step when using most Ai thumbnail generators, so if they can pull this off… could change the game.
Really excited to see how these new features work.
Youtube shared that they will be tested and rolled out in the coming months.
Anyone have personal experience with pet insurance for dogs? Is it actually worth the money, companies to avoid, etc.
I’ve just seen so many mixed stories and a lot of it seems to come down to what company you go through but I always prefer real stories over reviews
@brandenflasch I’ve stopped using my Apple Watch since switching to the Fitbit air tbh, cleaner look so I can also wear a real watch with it when I want, and the battery life is great, I only have to charge it for like 20 mins every week and it’s good to go
I watch a lot of videos on my phone, so being able to just flip it out and have basically a mini-iPad screen makes it more enjoyable, especially while traveling, I bought an iPad a couple of years ago but really never use it because my phone already has everything I need, it’s all signed in 24/7, has cell service, and is also always charged because I need it everyday. So a lot of it comes down to the convenience of 1 device vs 2
