@carriesayshuh @Anon5813 Same. I saw the post & considered reading it while “working” and then decided to wait until I stopped working and consider it a reward. Shortly after that…I decided I had done enough work for the week. 😂
@angelastenning@EmilyAsper@outlanderfan_nl S1 could have allowed more time for their developing regard —even a montage showing S thinking of C when he went swimming, for example. Perhaps it was not a standard courtship, but S allowed glimpses of what he was feeling. E.G., his nervousness walking w/ C on the cliff tops.
@angelastenning@EmilyAsper@outlanderfan_nl I think S was showing his regard for C when he said she should not change & was equal to any other woman in the room. He meant to signify how he valued C above the “ton” when he said she would rather be reading.2/
@outlanderfan_nl S admired C’s intelligence (eg reading philosophy). I think C falling for S was shown by her reactions over time. S was certainly a flawed hero & their relationship was 1 step forward & 2 steps back, but it seemed genuine to me.
@outlanderfan_nl C saw how S was w/ his nieces & nephews. Then he gave her credit for the regatta. He admired her & wished for help w/ G. S was impressed w/C playing cricket. He listened to her & paid off O’s debts. They had their connection during the dance in London. 1/
@FinestSeaside Thank you for this! This has me not sleeping. We definitely approach things differently & I feel like I need to be a different person for him—which will be really hard for me. Appreciate your perspective.
