In 2007, I will never forget walking into school during the strike. Half my friends parents lost their jobs *like that*. The city of @BurbankCA businesses support productions and vice versa. This strike could cripple so many businesses. The studios gotta figure it out. #wgastrong
To all who are waking up to this news and may not understand the gravity and how it might affect you. Without a settlement and if SAG and DGA end up without a satisfactory deal. This city will be paralyzed. And that affects everyone.
From the @nytimes today. THIS right here is the crux of the issue: We have a consistently profitable business, but that doesn't matter anymore because we've sacrificed everything at the alter of 'exponential growth.' It's a false idol. It's insanity. #wgastrong
Took a year sabbatical on the ocean. Went back to Hollywood. Few things faze me now because at least in an office job no one’s life is at stake.
People either love me or don’t know what to do with me. There is no in between 😂
It’s hard to find a knowledge worker that took a 3 month sabbatical from sitting at a desk and goes back to doing that 260 days a year without a fight
This is also why people avoid sabbaticals. Because they sense this seed of truth and worry losing their “edge”
All the “ADHD is over diagnosed” hot takes fail to consider that maybe our brains weren’t meant to live this way. Three generations ago my great-grandma was living a subsistence life in the bush. I just want to smoke some fish and pick some berries, not keep my inbox at zero.
