On February 23, with assistance from Belleville Police Service, officers issued nine tickets for significant safety‑related defects, and the driver will have a day in court. The licence plates were also seized.
Police remind motorists that vehicle safety standards are in place to protect all road users. Operating a vehicle that does not meet safety requirements puts drivers, passengers, and the public at risk. Anyone with concerns about unsafe or modified vehicles is encouraged to contact police.
