Some books are so scarce you could almost think that they didn’t actually exist. That’s the case with most books by Phyllis Paul (1903-73). As far as we're aware, our copy of her 1949 novel Camilla is the first to be available in many years. #phyllispaul

Such a joy to pick up a book by writer you've never heard off and then not being able to put it down again. This book (from 1973) is brilliant. Three long stories set in sunny Greece. It's right up there with #johnupdike or #richardford. Has anyone read #rachelingalls?
