Hello friends and fellow #Jaws enthusiasts, The Daily Jaws was kind enough to ask me to write a fan review for the #Jaws inspired play The Shark is Broken which recently made its North American debut. If you’re interested and feel so inclined, go ahead and have a read. Cheers! 🦈
Review: #TheSharkIsBroken ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"...in equal parts hilarious and poignant, The Shark is Broken works as a parallel to one of #cinema’s iconic trios." A must for both #theatre lovers and #Jaws fans.

Making it a double bill tonight of movies released in 1985 which are set in (and quite obviously filmed on location in) NYC...

"First Blood" was released on this day in 1982. Tremendous adaptation of David Morrell's bestselling novel (my favorite book of all-time) from director Ted Kotcheff and co-writer Sylvester Stallone revolutionized action films.
Highlights: Sylvester Stallone's incredible performance (both physical and emotional) remains a career benchmark; Jerry Goldsmith's astonishing and influential score is a powerhouse achievement.
While it received a mixed critical reception, "First Blood" was a global box office success, grossing nearly 10 times its production budget.
Among my ten favorite films of the 80s.
Predator (1987) : It remains endlessly rewatchable because the cast's chemistry was 100%. That constant drive to one-up each other gave the film a raw, lightning-in-a-bottle dynamic that modern CGI action completely lacks.
