@pwettycandle@firstkattp In my opinion, I am not as excited about 2, but 4 and 6 is peak. If you wanna watch between the two, I would say 5 because it's gonna end soon. 4 is also good because of the storyline and chemistry. Also I will add another here, the winter sun wakes the wind in spring hills.
@makiokoudais It's just the natural cycle of popularity. Trends constantly shift from fem to masc bottoms, or pretty to masc tops. It is what it is, and you have to acknowledge the fluidity. The younger seme boom is just the current wave,it will inevitably change into something else.
After watching the trailer for the nth time.
I believe the reset is not necessary a bad thing. Just my 2 cents.
QingLang's decision to reset everything with ChangYang is not because their love has failed. But because he feels like his love for ChangYang is not enough. As he mentions about love being pure, if it is not pure then is it really love? And that is what he most afraid of.
As we already know that ChangYang has known QingLang for last 2 years, loving him even being unknown and still unwavering at anything. Him standing in the rain unwilling to leave, already shows his choice has already been made. Despite any consequences or difficulties he is always choosing to be with QingLang.
But this not the same for QingLang, it is not that he doesn't love ChangYang. It is more like he is questioning himself if he is he loving him enough? Am I giving him the same certainty and devotion and he gives me? Instead of feeling comforted by ChangYang's love, he feels like he is constantly trying to catch up to it.
The additional pressure from Mr Xu to leave ChangYang only adds up on the pressure he feels and starts believing that he will be the reason ChangYang will suffer. He begins seeing himself as an obstacle in ChangYang's life. His instinct is not to fight, but to sacrifice himself and step away so that ChangYang can have an easier life.
This is why the idea of a reset makes sense. QingLang is not trying to deny their love or erase ChangYang. But he wants to remove that fear, guilt and imbalance that have surrounded their relationship. He wants to return to the beginning where they can choose each other freely again, where he can fall in love with ChangYang with the equal choice.
The emphasises on infinite growth is something QingLang wants for both of them. QingLang wants their love to grow and not feel like one person loving more and the other unable to match it. He wants to grow together, to discover each other again and again, until their love feels balanced.
Even though, love is something, that we can't compete. Some days, one will love more, than other days another. This is what Qing Lang has difficulty to understand.
For him, love is sacrifice, like how Sister Lan sacrificed herself to protect him, his brother sacrificing himself even though it was not his fault. But for ChangYang, it is about loving the person no matter the consequences and still choose to stay together.
QingLang inner conflict doesn't come from that he doesn't love ChangYang but he doesn't love him enough. But I hope that he will understands that ChangYang's love is not a burden he has to repay but a choice ChangYang is freely making. Not all love has to be pure love, because not all love is the same...
I hope in this lifetime, things will be a bit easier.
